Dutra
Mr. Dutra co-founded Parallax in 2018, leading the strategic development and execution of the firm’s investment practices.
Prior to Parallax, he was Banker in several leading global financial institutions including HSBC, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Citibank, and Itaú BBA. In his last position before founding Parallax, he was a Managing Director at B3 S.A., the Brazilian Stock Exchange, where he was responsible for products/client coverage, innovation, and for founding B3’s Corporate VC.
Mr. Dutra has served as Board Member of over 10 Fintechs and is currently a Director at Mercado Bitcoin, CERC, and Tergos. He was a Director of publicly-traded companies Banco Pine and R3.
Mr. Dutra holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnique School of the University of São Paulo.
Azor
Barros
Mr. Barros joined Parallax as a late founder in 2022 and is be co-responsible for the firm’s investment practices.
Previously, he worked at TPG Growth, Warburg Pincus, Pátria Investments, and McKinsey. He also co-founded and was CEO of Estimulo 2020, a non-profit Fintech that converts donations into subsidized credit for SMBs within 48h. Estimulo has raised +USD 15M from companies such as Santander, VALE, ArcelorMittal, Localiza, and Banco Inter, granted +BRL 200M in subsidized loans to +3,000 SMBs and saved over 30,000 jobs.
Mr. Barros serves as a Director at AsaaS, Monkey, Klavi, CAF, and Estimulo, and was a Director Board of leading publicly traded companies Omega Energia and Grupo GPS.
Mr. Barros holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnique School of the University of São Paulo, an MBA from Wharton, and is a Stanford GSB alumnus. He is also a Fundação Estudar scholarship recipient and member of Wharton Angels Brazil.
